Trevor Vaugh

Trevor Vaugh was born in 1980 in the georgian town of Birr in the Irish midlands. He left Birr in 1996 to pursue a degree in Industrial Design at the Institute of Technology in Carlow, graduating with first class honours in 2001.

Trevor spent the first six years of his career designing groundbreaking and revolutionary surgical access and laparoscopic devices in Dublin, before deciding to realise his own designs, and set up a studio with Nic Shannon in 2007.

His interest in furniture stems from his childhood and he primarily owes his love of furniture to his father, an avid collector of antique furniture. Trevor is passionate about design, and spends as much time as possible researching and studying the subject. Trevor is a proven problem solver and he holds many international patents for his work in the surgical field.

Nic Shannon

Nic Shannon was born in 1979 and grew up in Boyle, a small town in the scenic North West of Ireland. Since childhood, Nic has been fascinated with model making and the creation of highly accurate dioramas. He has received many awards for his highly detailed studies. It was this interest in model making that led Nic to study Industrial Design at the Institute of Technology in Carlow, from where he graduated in 2001 with an honours degree.
Following his studies in Carlow, Nic spent eight years in the natural stone industry, heading a demanding design office where he was responsible for creating bespoke architectural and domestic designs. During his time there, he worked with many of Ireland’s most prestigious design projects. Nic's major talent lies in his implicit attention to detail and his calm analytical reasoning.
